A BRIDGE TOO FAR
Since the drought of nice cars was getting to me, I decided to walk down Causeway Bay (one of the busiest areas of HK) to restore my faith in the Hong Kong car scene. Unfortunately, I was a bit miffed by the lack of interesting machinery.

Clockwise from top left: Three generations of Porker in this one - Porsche GT3 (996) Nice but dare I say, a bit mundane. Next, 993 Carrera is of my favourites. Dark grey 997 convertible is nice, but just doesn't do it for me. Never really looked at Alfa's much, but this 156 is lovely.

Representing my homeland, this Mini Cooper reminded me of being back in Blighty. Next, this photo looks black and white, but it's not - Skyline's are always a crowd pleaser and this ones a warmed over GT-T. Toyota Bb Open Deck - always wanted one. Scooby WRX - 280hp white goods has never looked so good.
Standing on a footbridge above a busy road for an hour and putting my lungs at risk is usually worth it for a peek at some nice motors, but there seems to be a distinct lack of exotic metal around at the moment and I'm not sure why. It's all Porsches, Bentleys and big Mercs. Not that that's a bad thing, but it just doesn't get the pulse racing.

Rolls-Royce Phantom - You could land a fighter plane on that. Bentley Flying Spur - Becoming increasingly popular here, though where you're going to use all that bahn-storming grunt here is beyond me. Another Skyline GT-T and finally a wonderful 996 Turbo S.

Another Bentley Flying Spur (these things are becoming as common as Toyota Corollas!) Love it or hate it, the BMW M5 is a beast. Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale is proof that God is Italian. Mazdaspeed RX-8 - some say rice, I say nice.
Highlight of the day was the Stradale (2nd in a week) and an awesome Nismo R34 GT-R V-Spec in Midnight Purple with black Nismo wheels off the Z-Tune. Unfortunately, by the time I'd finished scrabbling for the phone camera, it'd roared off. You can't win 'em all! Well, let's hope for better things now the weather's looking brighter...

Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution - Bonkers! Nissan Skyline GT-R in the preferred Bayside Blue - Doubly bonkers!

Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec looking menacing. Nissan President looking stately, but rather out of it's surroundings. Honda Civic Type-R has possibly one of the nicest stances a car can have. Another Rolls Phantom - Thunderbirds are go!

Nissan Fairlday (350Z) isn't shy, but I have never liked this car no matter how hard I have tried. Rolls-Royce, the name of which escapes me for now. Nissan Cube is cute and has the oddest back window arrangement. Brabus Mercedes SLK - not sure if that Brabus tuning is skin deep or not.

Scooby WRX Wagon with some extra trmmings sounded like a T-Rex in a barrell. NSX is always a rare but welcome sighting. Yawn... another Skyline GT-T. Finally a Bentley Arnage T.

Porsche Turbo S. I think this is a Daewoo, but I could be wrong. I'm not a bus spotter, but this was worth a punt. Another sexy Alfa 156.

Another Bentley Arnage T. Porsche Carrera 996 with GT2 wing. Rolls-Royce Corniche Coupe Convertible for all you aliteration fans. Honda NSX in black with some big boots on.

A rather tasty Carrera 964 with oversized GT2esque wing. Another Skyline, this time a GTS-t. Brand spanking Lotus Elise and Porsche Cayman S (pointless)
